Richard de Bakker

Richard de Bakker

Managing Director and Founder

Richard is an experienced executive in the life science and chemical industries.  In 2009, he founded AIM.  Prior to AIM, Richard served in leadership roles at Genzyme and Ashland (Hercules). 

At Genzyme, Richard was Head of Customer Service for the EMEA region.  While there, he transitioned from in-house warehousing to a European external third-party logistics provider (3PL).  He also restructured the customer service organization, was involved in multiple product launches, and managed the supply chain.

Richard held multiple roles at Ashland, including Head of the EMEA Customer Care team.  While there, he led various improvements, including re-engineering the customer service team, introducing the key performance indicator concept, and standardizing numerous work processes. The result was a double-digit improvement in the quality of customer service.

Also while at Ashland, Richard served as a Global Accounts Manager.  He worked closely with accounts like Unilever, Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, and AstraZeneca.  He generated year over year double-digit business growth and was involved with multiple new product development projects and launches.

Ronald van Zitteren

Principal

Ronald has a BSc in commercial economics and a substantial background in the biopharma industry.  He has held senior management positions in four global companies. He has experience in sales and marketing, change management, and continuous improvement. 

However, his primary focus has been on supply chains.  Over 20+ years, he has covered all of the typical functional areas within end-to-end life science supply chains. Ronald is a holistic thinker who understands what it takes to build supply chains, as well as improve them to exceed customers’ expectations.

I love to work across cultures and in highly complex environments, letting the team-diversity do the magic while having a clearly defined and ambitious game-plan.

Rolf Wildeman

Principal

Rolf is an experienced leader in supply chain and operations functions in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, with many years working as a member of company senior management teams.

His specialties are purchasing, planning, (cold-chain) warehousing and distribution, supplier selection and contract management, management of outsourced operations, and management of assembly and packaging operations. 

Rolf’s background includes leadership roles at Synthon (VP, Global Supply Chain), Quanta Dialysis Technologies (Chief of Operations), Biocartis (Director of Supply Chain and External Manufacturing), and MSD / Schering Plough / Akzo Nobel / Intervet (Director, Outbound Operations).

As a leader, Rolf is practical, eloquent, used to changing environments and result-oriented with a focus on the human factors involved.  He is a highly effective team player and is excellent at maintaining open lines of communication.

Corné van Raak

Principal

Corné is an experienced Supply Chain professional with more than 25 years of experience designing, optimizing, and managing global and regional supply chain operations in various industries (biopharma, FMCG, and high technology). 

He has held senior management positions in blue chip companies, developing and leading international distribution networks and delivering major transformation programs. 

Corné is passionate for identifying opportunities to improve business, boost customer experience, and improve operational performance, always with an end-to-end view in mind.  

He brings extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams in challenging and/or new circumstances.  Since joining AIM, he has been supporting various biotech start-up companies in the design and set-up phases of commercial supply chain and distribution operations.

Peter Martens

Peter Martens

Principal

Peter has a MSc in Supply Chain and Operations Management and more than 10 years of experience in supply chain operations, order to cash, and procurement activities in the biopharmaceutical and food industries.

He has held several leadership positions in global companies, including Amgen and Abbott.  He has been focused on managing European supply chain operations, cold chain distribution, and the restructuring and digitizing of organizations.

Peter is passionate for using new technology and innovation to improve operational performance as well as the customer / patient experience.

Sander Smit

Associate Principal

Sander holds an M.Sc. in Operations Research and an M.B.A. from the Rotterdam School of Management.  He has an extensive background biopharma supply chains. 

Sander held multiple senior roles at Amgen for 15+ years, including head of the demand and supply management departments.  He has a reputation for delivering successfully, with a long track record launching new products and devices in key markets across the globe (Europe, Russia, Brazil, and the US).  

Sander successfully restructured Amgen’s supply management organization, increasing profitability by more than $100 million. Prior to Amgen, he served as a project manager and consultant in large, nationwide ventures. 

Sander is a practical, results-oriented leader.  He’s a team player and is excellent at managing complex and novel initiatives. 

Renske de Bakker

Operations Manager

Renske is the Office Manager for AIM. Her background includes 10 years as bookkeeper for a mid-size accountancy firm. Following that, she became the office manager for an entrepreneurial company active in the fashion industry until June 2021. She has also been responsible for AIM’s financial administration since 2018. As of June 2021, she has been full-time with AIM and her activities have been extended to also cover Human Resources and Office Operations.

One of Renske’s passions is to create a flawless back-office environment for AIM.

Manager

Marleen has more than 20 years of supply chain experience in the biopharma industry, managing both regional and global supply and demand processes for biologics and vaccines. Prior to joining AIM, Marleen spent more than 5 years serving in a range of supply chain leadership roles with Kite Pharma (a Gilead company). Prior to that, she spent nearly 9 years in supply chain leadership roles at Janssen, where her responsibilities included designing and implementing the supply chain processes and teams for US CAR-T therapies. Her background also includes nearly 7 years in supply chain roles at Centocor.

Marleen holds a APICS certification and is a J&J certified black belt. She is experienced in process development and improvement, organizational design, and talent engagement and management. Marleen is a strong communicator, cross-functional collaborator, and enjoys getting the job done.

Seyed-Hossein Zeidi

Seyed-Hossein is a highly experienced professional in the field of supply chain with a background in international business management. With several years of experience in end-to-end supply chain operations in the pharmaceutical industry, Seyed-Hossein brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Additionally, Seyed-Hossein holds an APICS certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional) and has many years of experience as a project manager.

Jordy holds an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Tilburg and has more than 10 years of experience in supply chain management and finance, primarily in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Jordy held multiple functional roles in Amgen’s regional supply chain for 8+ years, leading cross-functional global projects and optimizing value chains as a Supply Chain Manager.

He started in supply allocation management and spent 3 years in Ireland as demand and inventory manager, implementing and overseeing the launch of Amgen’s biosimilar.

Jordy is a practical, highly skilled, and collaborative professional. With a strong background in finance, he developed a passion for the biopharmaceutical industry and end-to-end supply chain management.

He has gained extensive knowledge in establishing and optimizing international distribution networks in the life science industry.  His in-depth experience includes cold chain distribution, controlled drugs distribution, Early Access Program distribution, GDP compliance, supply chain planning processes, etc.  

He is especially adept at leading cross-functional project teams in challenging environments, such as start-ups, re-organizations and companies undergoing transformational change. David is a self-starter who always delivers results.
